Leadership:
Coldwater Literary Club Officer
  • Cultivated a community of 3 to eventually 30 writers over the course of 60 weeks of regular meetings over 2 school years, producing over 100 original works of prose and poetry. Recorded attendance and finances, including club dues and magazine sales for 3 years
  • Presented a 30-minute basics of design workshop for 20 people and coordinated formatting in 40 distributed copies of a 52-page magazine.

    Organized 7 writer groups in total over 3 years with various collaborative events including yearly reader-submitted prompt challenges (20+ works per year), character development events with a competitive game-like feel, and general community and culture cultivation. These groups average around 20-30 people each, who joined the group in order to exchange creative ideas and participate in challenges.

    Led a creative group of 5 artists working for a gaming community of 8,000 regular members, creating 25+ emotes and working closely with the event team for 2 years to bring community-wide events and a successful community to life.

    CEAS Peer Mentor
  • Guided 4 mentees through their first year of university through the CEAS Mentoring Program, meeting for 30 weeks over 2 semesters and providing weekly lessons and activities.

    Technical Journey:
    Created forum post templates and small design mockups in HTML and CSS, posting them online for public use. These posts were designed for fantasy-heavy, text-heavy yet still aesthetic users who looked for ways to decorate their character/user profiles.

    Created a game of tic-tac-toe in C, programming the bot to analyze the game state and determine if the game was over and which player won.

    Used HTML and CSS to create a website that explained my leadership experience in detail, including vertical tabs, custom scrollbar using webkit, design principles, and imported Google Fonts.

    Used HTML and CSS to create a uniquely-designed tablet-inspired responsive website detailing my experience and expertise. Used CSS flexbox to ensure responsive design across mobile, tablet, and PC devices and used multiple subpages, webkit, and Google Fonts to employ the design.

    Created a SQL Database Program for a real-life small scale use case with real online data that includes a GUI
